David came into our lives one fine morning to take care of the administrative side of things, but quickly went on to do much more, giving a great deal of himself to making mereo known in France and around the world, and then for many of us he became a friend.
If you’ve ever met David, you can’t help but remember him, because he had, has and always will have that natural, warm, funny, dynamic and positive charisma that makes you want to spend time with him, projecting yourself with a smile. He has the art of always finding the right word, the right attention to give comfort, joy, to come back to the present moment with a smile whatever the situation.
Right up to his final moments, he embodied this, rejoicing in the love of his children, his friends, the incredible journeys and adventures he experienced, but also in the simple fact of being alive.
“I’m in high spirits and always will be, because there’s so much love around me, and so many little things to enjoy,” he told me a few days before leaving us, and this is what he invites us to do to honor his memory, never losing sight of our love and our joie de vivre.
David passed away after battling illness at the end of July in Israel, close to his family.
It is with immense sadness, and in celebration of how lucky we were to have known him, that we share our condolences and thoughts of support with his family.
